Those may be symptoms of an allergic reaction to something. I'm assuming if she just woke up this way, it's not an outdoor allergy.

Many people discount food allergies, but reactions can take several hours to show so it's hard to tell.

As far as using antihistamines, why not find the source instead of running for the medicine cabinet? It would be much more helpful to know what caused it.

My guess is allergies. I have bad ones and i get like that. An antihistamine works good, but if your worried you should take her into the doc's.

I have allergys worst than alot of people and thats what it sounds like to me I would consider giving her some Bynadryl and seeing if it works

That same things has happened to me before. For me I think it is berries that do it. Probably some kind of food allergy for her. I went to the hospital and all they did was ask me stupid questions and give me a megadose of benadryl.
