What causes dry itchy hot inflamed skin
My husband's whole face has suddenly become dry and flaky and it is hot and itchy and sore. Its only on his face. What could cause this? We cant think of anything different we have eaten, or drank, no new soaps or lotions. His eyelids are even a little puffy and he has a sore starting on the corner of his left eye. It is spreading to his ears now. Any ideas? If you think its allergies, what can he take that wont make him drowsy?

I know this sounds weird, but it could be an allergic reaction! I found out I'm allergic to oysters...!
It also could be that whatever he uses, might dry out his skin so badly, that his skin reacts like that!
But what you are describing happened to me last winter. Try skin so soft bath oil Avon) on those spots and use a rich moisturizer. It has helped me! Good luck

perhaps the stuff he uses on his face has gone out of date
his best bet is to get to a Dr asap if you think it's an allergy
