It can cause cancer anywhere it comes into contact with tissues...so from the mouth right down to the lungs. Tongue cancer is particularly nasty and getting more common as people think that smoking without inhaling is "safer".and as a consequence they hold the smoke in their mouth, building up problems for the future.
It can cause many different kinds, the most common being Lung Cancer. There is a mis-conception that this is the only kind that smoking causes. Nothing could be further from the truth! It can also cause Cancer of the Brain, Throat, Esophegus, Breast-(not only in women), and Cervical Cancer-(women), and Prostate-(men) just to name a few. I am not a doctor, but I have relatives that either have died from Cancer, or have a type of Cancer as we speak. Please feel free to check with a doctor of your choice if you choose not to believe me. Smoking WILL KILL YOU! Do not fool yourself into thinking it will not. I have learned this hard lesson from expeirence. I myself smoked from the age of 18 to the age of 41.Please think this through - long and hard before you decide to take up a very tough habit that you may never be able to break.
