What can you treat for gasoline sprayed all over you

My husband was working on our car, loosening the fuel filter and it broke, spraying gasoline all over his face and inside his ear. Now it burns him really bad. He called the poison control center and they told him to constantly wash it out with water. What can you buy to treat the burning without going to the doctor?

Answer:

If he has sensative skin to gasoline...there's not much you can do about it.

Go to the store and pick up some neosporin + pain relief.and some sun burn aloe.

He just needs needs to apply it until it goes away. Some people are more sensative than others...It happens with racing fuel quite a bit.but we usually just tough through it cause it will go away.

Tell him he should relieve the fuel system pressure before messing with anything...there's usually a fitting somewhere to do that.

If poison control told him to wash it with water, that's what he needs to do unless he's willing to go to a doctor.
Follow what the poison control told him. You can get Neosporin and try that, something to relieve the pain of the burn or go to the hospital. I know it's spendy but, it's better sometimes not to risk infection.

If your absolutely sure you've washed the area really clean and these no residue left I'll give you a hint but, try it first because it only a hint and it not good to give someone these tips.

In an area that small and can be washed, use clean Vaseline, leave it on for several minutes to see if it relieves the burning. It's always helped me. Good luck
