umm don't have the pills that help. need help like now. any thing that an average human can find in the kitchen

I have this so badly I was hospitalized. Only when all medical stuff didn't help did I get open minded and tried something that seemed to me ridiculous. Only Organic apple cider vinegar 2 table spoons in clean water in a 4 oz glass with honey or a dot of stevia( natural sweetener its grown wild in a few countries. ) to make it tolerable . I swallow it and a few mins later the reflex is gone. I do this every time I get a burning and no damage to me esophagus any more. I didn't think it was a treatment either . But the pain motivated me to just try .

Drink some muratic acid.

I have a similar situation, and your best bet is organic apple cider vinegar (2 tbsp). Else you can go for cucumbers, water melons, almonds or even some green mint can help.

Often times acid reflex is caused from consuming to much caffeine.. if you drink a lot of coffee or soda with caffeine in them try cutting back..

That's what worked for me.

I find prilosec the most affective over the counter medicine for acid reflex. If you need something right away try a little baking soda in water, read the label for the right amount to use. Also drink Lot's of water that should start helping right away. And try to avoid spicey foods or tomato sauce based food such as spaghetti sauce.

try apple cider vinegar. If that doesn't help, just type in acid reflux natural cures, I found a lot of natural remedy websites. Also, make sure you are sleeping with your head elevated at night, don't lay down flat because that can and probably will make it worse.

You can make yourself a bicarbonate of soda, or drink some milk. Check www.webmd.com for suggestions as well. My hubby suffers from this also, and has had great luck with a prescription called Protonix. Ask your Doctor or Pharmacist about it.
