I have terrible head akes from a sinus infection. I am currently taking Avelox to relieve it but it is not helping. I have all ready been to the doctor but nothing is realivg this. All I can do is sleep thats the only thing that releaves pain. I also currently have a double ear infection and bronchitis. Any ideas on what I can do
Answer:hot steam helps wet a white cloth with hot water hot as you can stand it and wipe it across your sinus and hold it until you feel some relief repeat until you feel better you can take a steam shower get a humidifier it will help with bronchitis also if this dont work you need to go back to your dr so you can get a antibiotic to clear up everything.feel better and god bless. blossom f!!!

Okay, it is going to sound gross, but I swear it works. A girlfriend finally convinced me to try when I had a horribly painful sinus infection, like you. I know have handful of friends who use it. People woh are into yoga aften use it. It is called a neti pot, and it looks like a small tea pot. You put warm salt water in it. You then tilt your head to the side & pour it in your upper nostril. The water goes through your sinuses and comes out the bottom nostril. In doing so, it is clearing your sinuses. It takes a couple of times of leaning to get it right, but it really works. You can get neti pots at whole foods, health food stores or natural pharmacies like Pharmaca or Elephant Pharmacy. Try it!!
Try hot moist washcloths, laid across your face,forehead,cheeks. As hot as you can stand it is best, as it cools, you will feel the sinus drain. Another is a hot towel, placed around the neck and shoulders, lay back, relax. There is a spot on the back of the head, little dip like, kind of in the middle, anyway...massage in a circular motion, working down, then just pressure in that one spot, the pain will start lifting. Try a saline solution nasal spray, I just you plain water and it helps me, it moisturizers the membranes and helps fight the infection. I suffered for years with migraines, headache this and sinus that, it was insane how often I had headache/sinus crap. So I go to the doctor,again, and he suggests sinus surgery. The absolute best thing I have ever done for myself! They removed scar tissue, and repaired a deviated septum. It's something in your nose, higher up. It was entirely disgusting and gross, think blowing your nose multiplied by infinity, yuk! I have had but two true headaches, and only a couple sinus infections. It's been 15yrs. Discuss it with your doc, right now, you are a mess! Hope you feel better soon.
Go to the doctor. Anti biotics are a wonderful thing. They will clear it up FAST
A deep-steam sinus relief will help,put a few drops of eucalyptus oil into a boiling bowl of water,then place a towel over your head and bend over the bowl for 12 minutes.
