What are they symptoms of diabetes
i dont really want to get my information off of a t.v. show, but on scrubs turk needed to realize he was sick. so a doctor asked told him some symptoms of a "patient" and turk told her that person might have diabetes, but she was talkin about him the whole time to trick him.
anyways, a couple things he said reminded me of how i've been feeling lately and i dont know if i should get my info from a t.v. sitcom. and how young can you be and still get it. my grandmother drives cab, and i think shes driven a few guys around my age that have it. plus shes a diabetic herself, so do you think this makes it a greater risk for me?
Answer:I don't know what your symptoms are but I know that drinking a lot more water and having to pee more is one of the symptoms. So is feeling dizzy and/or nauseated, especially after eating sugar. Feeling weak if you don't eat the right kind of foods or not soon enough. If you are overweight, that can also cause diabetes. Everyone is different so if you feel you may be diabetic, please see a doctor. It's very serious.
diabeties is hereditory, so if your gran has it, it does mean that you are at greater risk of having it yourself. I am no doctor so would recommend you look up on google the symptons, but from what i know if you are diabetic, you may be thirsty more often, feel faint or dizzy if you have not eaten - or had any sugar. you really need to search google hun
Diabetes is definately hereditary. And very unfortunate. I was only 27 when I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and they placed me on a medication. Im a recovering Alcoholic and drug addict and have been clean for almost 6 years "yeaaaa" But because of the quik stop of using cocaine, My metabloism dropped so fast and I gained 80 pounds in about 10 months. I was severly over weight and sleep deprived from insomnia. Dizzy spells came on here and there. The biggest problem I had was that I couldnt lose weight no matter how hard I tried. Thats when I was diagnosed. Ive now lost 105 pounds and feel awesome. And I no longer have diabetes... It is gone:)
I HAD DIABETES FOR 25 TEARS. WEIGHT LOSS, THIRSTY ALL THE TIME, PEE ALOT, SMELLY PEE, HEADACHES, FIND OUT IF IT RUNS IN YOUR FAMILY. IF YOU SAID YES TO THESE QUESTUOS GO TO A DOCTOR.
Yes, it does make you at a greater risk with your grandmother being diabetic. Diabetes is known to be hereditary. Some risk factors are excessive urination or hunger, always thirsty or hungry, dry mouth, sudden loss of weight. Any one at any age can develop diabetes, there is no age limit! Good luck and stay on top of things. Maybe you should get in to see your doctor.
I'll assume you are talking about type 2 diabetes. Symptoms can be as the above poster stated frequent urination, increased thirst, increased appetite, sometimes weight loss, decreased circulation efficiency (tingling sensation). The last generally happens when type 2 diabetes progresses. Heredity is DEFINITELY a factor that can contribute to someone being predisposed to this condition. There is evidence that despite the hereditary link however that diet can help prevent the condition. It is best to get exercise and reduce carbohydrate intake.
