what is the effective management of hypertension

My hypertension (high blood pressure) is hereditary. Hypertension means the blood is pumping in and out of your heart too fast...putting stress on your heart. Apparently, it can cause stroke if left unchecked. The symptoms are not always obvious but I can tell if my blood pressure is high because I always get a thumping headache around my temples. My father and grandmother both had it...and so do all my siblings over 40. It is possible that we are all worriers and get stressed out, but its a physical thing too, My blood pressure increases when I am under stress..but oftentimes it is quite normal. Medication seems to be the doctor's answer to hypertension. I personally, hate the medication because my blood pressure is not always high, and as the medication builds up in the system I sometimes have to stop taking it because my blood pressure can get too low. If you are in the early stages of hypertension..try natural therapies. Rutin is great, Rue tea and lecithin will all help...but don't do it without proper advice from a naturopath. Keep your weight under control, stop smoking, exercise etc etc.all that stuff will help of course.and most of all try to keep your life stress free.
