What are four ways that we can combat antibiotic resistance? And what can you do to prevent antimicrobial resistance?

Answer:

1 -- quit using triclosan in antibacterial soaps or as an additive to plastics. It only strenghtens the bacteria that survive. Use plain soap followed by alcohol-based hand gel instead.

2 -- do not ask doctors to prescribe antibiotics for viral infections. They don't fight the virus, but again, any bacteria that survive the antibiotic are made stronger.

3 -- culture bacterial infections to identify the pathogen. Then select the appropriate antibiotic for the infection so that the treatment is targeted.

4 -- prevent infections: use proper wound care and hand-washing techniques. Use heat to dry dishes, and bleach or oxi-based color safe bleach in the laundry.

Build the immune system with the proper nutritional tools

Stop over prescribing antibiotics

Eat organic meats that have not been treated with antibiotics

Treat the body like its the only one you have by preventing illness and not wait until you fall of the cliff for a doctor to save you.

I think one thing is to stop buying meats, etc that have been raised pumped full of it. I have stopped buying that garbage a few months ago, and I believe it will make a difference for me.
By not taking antibiotics for infections which are not bacterial, by taking antibiotics for the complete prescribed period and in the proper dose and by not taking a broad spectrum antibiotic where a narrow spectrum antibiotic is sufficient.
