When you go to the doctor for a urinary tract infection how do they diagnos it. Do they just take a urine sample?
Answer:They will sample your urine yes, and talk to you about your symptoms.
And examine you by poking around the bladder/kidney area possibly.
I believe so. You can buy Urinary Tract Infections over the counter and save yourself some money finding out. Of course, you'll require antibiotics from your doctor if you do have an infection. But finding out can be much less costly!
Yes, just a urine sample.
The doctor will also ask you questions about your symptoms, and may also ask you about your sexual activites, just to check if it could be an STD. But other than that, they just get a sample from you can check it in the lab.
