Ulcer or what
acid reflux, it could be gastritis, and there are other things it could be besides an ulcer.
There are a couple of tests that they do that will tell them this right away.
The doctors usually does a test to see what may
be causing this known as a barium test.
You stand in front of an xray type machine and
drink a chalky type solutions as the doctor watches the fluid go through your digestive
tract. It doesn't taste good but there isn't
any pain involved. Tip: drink lots of liquids
afterwards to flush out your body of this
stuff as it can cause constipation.
The next test and the best test is the
endoscopy. Here is a link to explain that:

With the endoscope, you have a greater chance
of knowing exactly what is wrong because
the doctor can see with his own eyes,on a
TV like screen, what your inside of the stomach
looks like. You are sedated during this time and
your throat is sprayed with something to stop
you from gagging. It may be a little uncomfortable at first, but then you shouldn't
remember much.
I hope that you will be able to find out, for
certain, what is wrong.
