To get a stone taken out of my eye, will it be surgically removed & willl it hurt
I have a stone in my eye thats blocking things. I need and want it to be taken out, will I need to get surgery? Will it hurt? I'm kindaa scared:|
Answer:It's very understandable that you would be frightened to have surgery done on the eyes, however, it is necessary as a stone left in the eye, or any foreign object for that matter, may cause further vision problems and perhaps even blindness if not taken care of. Presuming that you were told by a dr that the stone is blocking things, go to a board-certified opthalmologist asap to get the procedure done. It will probably be same-day surgery as those with cataracts, a cloudy lens (of the eye), typically has. They will numb the eye area and you should be fine. I was wondering if your dr gave you a certain amount of time to decide if you will get the surgery. Please do so as soon as possible to help prevent any further complications, and take good care.
Eye surgery is critical. Get it done as soon as possible. No, it probably won't hurt while it is being done, as anaesthetics and freezing will be used, however the recovery process for a few days may be a bit painful.
You only have two eyes. Get it done.
