Tmi stool question
ok for a few months now i have been having slightly yellow stool (sometimes mucuousy) with bright red streaks (i'm assuming blood but usually blood is black? could this be an ulcer? i'm asking here before i go to a doctor.. (i plan on going either way but i would like an opinion for whatever reason) and slight side pain... i have no idea.
Answer:Please go to the doctor right away. I do know that a physical manifestation of colorectal cancer is noticable bright red stools. Tumors associated with this bright red blood are usually of tghe left side of the colon or rectum. You may have cramping, or gas pains. It would be in your best interest to see your doctor immediatly. Polyps could be the problem. They can cause bright red rectal bleeding. Crohn's disease can also cause blood in the stool. Also cause unintentional weight loss, an change in the consistency of stool.
