Tightness around my adams apple :(
so ive been getting a cold but now my glands near my adams apple are swollen and the back of my tounge hurts when i talk or even eat. i went to the doctor and she said it was a respitory infection but im not coughing! i have regular cold symptoms.please help me get this pain away
Answer:If the side of your throat is swollen, then that means your lymph nodes are swollen, which means you are fighting off an infection. when you're lymph nodes get swollen, they fill with more white blood cells than usual, which fight off infection in the body and cause inflamation. I'm also pretty sure respiratory infections don't need to include coughing (most do though), so you're doctor is probably right.
maybe it's tonsilitis
drink some whiskey... seriously try it, it works, im not trying to spam, it should actually help
LOL, I'm not even gonna say it...
Try taking antibiotics. I recommend Amoxicillin 500mg
I'm not a Doctor, but it sounds as if antibiotics would do the trick in about a week.
get some Sucretes and suck on them...any cough drop that has numbing qualities with it. The fact that your salivary glands and probably tonsils are swollen indicates a bacterial infection...you probably should be on antibiotics at this point. If you have a low grade fever, you may well have the beginnings of strep...not to be played with. I would consider going to another doctor if antibiotics were not prescribed..Good luck
Boil water in a pot, add some salt once the water is boil pour the water in a cup and add some lemon, wait until the water is not that hot make sure you dont burned your mouth and do gargles with the water for 30seconds until you finish the whole cup, make sure not to drink cold drinks during a 24hr period of time and you're going to see the results the very next day.
Have your thyroid checked.
Sometimes people get sick or gain and loose weight, have sore throats and never associate it with thyroid disease. So go get checked.
