Thyroxin taking

health advisory Hospital Diseases 2007-11-12 20:35:11

i have had to take thyroxin every day for years now and just wondered how much other people take (i'm on 125mcg /day) and if anyone else gets any side effects, i know i do...

Answer:

I used to take 75mcg but it was recently raised to 125 mcg and I feel a whole lot better. I'd been on 75mcg for years. I get no side effects from the actual medication.

I'm on 200 now, i used to get stomach cramps but now take another pill to stop that.
I'm only on 50.

But then I've only been taking 5 months. Newly diagnosed but been suffering 2 years.

Only side effect is that sometimes it feels like I've not had any and I go weak again.

But mostly ok.

125mcg / day. no side effects from medication, however had symptoms due low hormone dosage until proper dosage was found...
