Yeah, I tried all those fancy meds, but what finally did the trick for me was GOLD BOND medicated powder after each shower...apply it liberally and rub it in everywhere around there while you are still slightly damp...

he has been to the doctor with no luck? Could be that it needs to be treated longer with an anti-fungal medicine. Also it could be a yeast infection. Since the area is warm and moist the conditions are tight for a yeast infection. Treat it with the same type of cream you would use for a female yeast infection for a few days, Also make sure that it stays dry and the undies are not too tight. This should work.

It could be a yeast infection, as opposed to a fungal. They would need to be treated differently. If he has used meds from the doc, it probably was meant for fungal issues. Try Monistat, apply while the area is dry. If he has a partner, the yeast infection may be getting passed back and forth, if they do not treat the infections, at the same time. Too much bleach usage, or an irritation to detergents, could also be a problem. I would treat for yeast first, then start eliminating other potential things.

It is a fungus called Tinea Versicolor.it is very common particularly in hot and humid wheather...and gets worse with sweating.it affects areas of the body that are less likely to be dry...so it affects pubic and underarm and upper trunk and thighs most and it usually does not affects hands or feet.anti fungal creams such as Canestan applied for at least 3-4 weeks work but chances of recurrence are high.so always have to carry those creams to apply them when he gets itchy.
