There are small blacksinsects in my room What are they and how do I get rid of them
They are not fleas, but these insects are about helf the size of fleas and hop around everywhere like fleas. They also bite, because I've got bumps on my legs where they've gotten on me. i'm a generally clean person, but these things have somehow started a nest in my room. Help?
Answer:They could be springtails, aka collembola. They have a tail that allows them to 'spring' like fleas, and they are known to cause skin irritation in some humans. Google the name to find out more. Bad news is they can be hard to get rid off. I would try fogging your room, then cleaning the carpet and baseboards followed by vacuuming, and also washing all your linens. Good luck.
Are you sure they're not fleas? Fleas can be very small when they first appear. If you have carpet in your room and a dog in your house, they're fleas.

Well start by cleaning your room.. take all sheets and blankets to the laundry room and give them a full wash with 2 rinses and regular drying time. Take everything out of your room and vaccum throughly(make sure you vacuum your mattress too). Spray rug with some carpet cleaner like 409 and scrub it into the carpet and let it dry. While its drying you go through all the stuff that was in your room and make sure there is nothing living in it..
Take out the garbage.. reset your room... put on fresh bedding. If that doesn't work get a good spray like Raid and spray the baseboards.
