Petroleum Jelly product should work just fine. Just slather it on your foot and put some socks on.

The lady (kelly) below is very wrong. I have been a long time occassional user of Vaseline and my feet stay soft for months at a time.

scrub it first to remove dry patches. then put some olive oil. when you just put some moisturiser, it won't remove the rough skin.

This works- I've been doing this for years and my feeet are baby soft. Soak you feet in warm water and scrub them with a pumice stone. You can find them in the nail care section of the drug store. After you have dried your feet apply a thick layer of a very good hand cream( I use Eucerin).

Wrap your feet with plastic wrap, cover them with socks and go to bed. Your feet will be very soft and smooth the next morning. You may need to do this several days a week for a while until all the rough patches are gone. There is at home no quick fix that I know of.

Do not use any products with vaseline it's Petroleum and something that is cheap and hardens your skin - not softens it like people assume.

This also includes mineral oil based creams and baby oils.

That being said try to soak your feet in empson salt

and make your own sea salt scrub with kosher salt and olive oil and rub that over them and rinse.

Apply an herbal foot cream -

Keep a pumice stone in the shower and when feet get warm/softer in there use this -

At night put on the foot cream and add a pair of socks.

Lock in moisture.

Do the salt scrub for a few days to get feet in shape and then add it as you need it a week.
