Protime which is a test to see how fast your blood coagulates.
PTT (Activated partial thrombin time) is used to monitor Heparin therapy.
PT (prothrombin time) may be run in addition, but less commonly.
Both are coagulation studies to measure platelet and coag factor function, but Heparin should only have effects on PTT.
Please make sure patient is tested for Antiphospholipd syndrome as well if this is ITP
