i recently when to the dr presenting symptoms of MS but he just looked very unconvinced, and very much thought that i was simply faking for attention, and he brushed me off. i felt absolutely humiliated. i've been having tingling/pins and needles in my arms and twitches in my legs, changes in vision, i'v been choking on drinks a lot lately, im uncoordinated, im always exhausted, and just genral twitching throughout my body. i have been doing some research and what iv been experiencing sounds uncannily like MS, but i'm afraid that the dr wont believe me. i'm not really sure what to do...i feel like i now have to 'prove' that i am experiencing these symptoms, and that from now on every dr will think im just an attention seeker. Could my symptoms be bc of MS?

Answer:

A lot of doctors it seems brush off the patients the first couple times. Repeated visits could either get them annoyed, or get them to think that maybe there is something there. A 2nd or 3rd oppinion is usually a good idea.

Wether or not the symptoms are from MS, I don't know. I have had the spasms and overall clumsiness most of my life, but never developed most of other of the symptoms you are mentioning. It could be many different neurological conditions, sometimes when you self-diagnose you may develop some of the symptoms you read about when they are not really caused by whatever condition you truly have.

There are way too many doctors out there to be saddled with one that doesn't seem to care. Whether you have the symptoms or not, he should be concerned either way. Either way you have a problem. Find yourself a different doctor. I know its hard to change doctors but sometimes you just have to, and if you really feel like you might have MS you should be diagnosed. Good luck
