For a year and a half I was using the full on proactiv product. All 3 steps. My skin could handle it fine. All of a sudden my skin started to be naturally dry. I had to stop using proactiv. Pimples came back. It sucked.

I naturally now have most of them gone. A few here and there, but I strive to be perfect. Anyway, I noticed that in the proactiv REPAIRING lotion there is in fact benzoyl peroxide. I use a little bit of this and only this every night and then apply moisterizer afterwards. I have seen a huge improvement in my skin now.

Has anyone else with dry/sensitive skin tried this? How did it work for you?

Are you using Proactiv Sensitive Skin Line? There is a line of products made by Proactiv for people with sensitive skin, so you might want to try that. The regular Proactiv can be irritating, so you might want to try the one formulated for us sensitive types. It works very well for me and I can use the complete line. Good luck, hon.

My sister used to use Proactive but had to stop because she was expecting a child and her hormones didn't agree with the solution. She switched to Avon and loves it.

I would go off of Proactive altogether anyway and find something else that works well for your skin. I was on proactive for well over a year and when I went off of it my skin broke out worse than before I went on it in the first place. Now nearly a year and a half of going off of it my skin is balanced out and clear again. All of my friends had the same reaction when going off of Proactive but they had no choice except to go off of it because after awhile your skin becomes immune to it.
