Answer:If you were so impulsive about getting a piercing, then you may be that way someday when you get into a relationship and suddenly have the urge to have sex! Then, you will be writing back asking if you could have aids or an std etc. Yes, there is a chance to getting these in various ways, but you really need to read up & educate yourself on these things. Even in a hospital during surgery or even being in a hospital itself, you can pick up tons of germs & get infected with various things. I am allergic to latex gloves & a new doctor performed an annual female test (down there) & I got a severe yeast infection & my hubby caught it from me! You most likely do not have AIDS, but it is good that you are beginning to think about these things. Try to read all you can about these diseases, so you can learn before doing anything risky again. I realize many girls are getting piercings, they think that they are cool. Many women in the 1930's began smoking because they thought it was cool. There are thousands of people out there that would agree with me that a tongue piercing makes one look very ugly and deformed. To me it is disgusting. To a dentist it is terrible. Find out what a dentist thinks. You can ruin your teeth & much has been written from a dentist's point of view. Besides the sensitive nerves in a tongue and it being a muscle, how would you like never being able to tell the taste of certain things? Also, to some people, a tongue piercing could signify you are sexually active, as some get them done for sexual reasons. These group of people of course have more chances of getting diseases. I have had a guy flash his tongue at me in a checkout lane in a sexual way. He thought he was attracting me or something, but I was totally turned off. Look up STDs on google. See pictures of male and female organs infected with warts that are a virus, easily transmitted. Then, there is herpes that is so easily caught. You will have that for life with various annoying breakouts. Yes, you should be scared. It is a big world out there. I bet you thought a piercing on your face would make you look beautiful. Actually, if you are not pretty, it will just make people look at you more accidently by seeing something flashy. By the way, a nose piercing is what they do to a bull. An animal. And I bet you are very young & probably pretty & thinking you are not, and experimenting with things you think will make you more attractive. I say leave your face alone & you will be glad you did when you finally get into your twenties & feel good about yourself because you have no extra holes in your body. And you won't have to worry about being infected with needles if you don't mess with them. There are several cases of even health professionals being infected with dirty needles accidently in a garbage, or even at the beach you could accidently poke yourself. There are dirty people everywhere that are not thinking of the welfare of others. There is so much information out there, get educated & you will see for yourself. Smoking usually & has been proven to cause cancer, yet many keep smoking (habit)and piercings have their bad raps.. Read up! You wanted all advice. Here it is. Sorry if I offended anyone, but they all know all what I said is true.
ah shizzal dun worry about it you never got aids lol just enjoy your new hole.peace \\//
The only way you could have gotten AIDS from the piercer is if he had an open sore and he touched that open sore to any open sores you have. Its transferred from person to person by blood or body fluids. SO i highly doubt you got AIDS from getting your tongue pierced. But if you are that concerned go get tested.
With the precautions you have described, there is infinitesimal small chance for you to have AIDS. which is normally passed via exchange for bodily fluids. Once you piercing one on your tongue, oral sex would be greater danger and deep kissing. It may be that if there is any bruise or cut on the tongue , you can be infected, otherwise you would have the chance of getting as anybody else.
Do not be terrified. AIDS can be transmitted from tatooing and piercings ONLY if they are using a used needle! You CANNOT get infected from the person giving you the tatoo/piercings (even if they have aids) unless their hands are cut and their blood get into contact with yours. So unless you had your piercing in a dungeon where they use "used needles", you have nothing to worry about. If it will make you feel any better, think of how many people actually have tatoos and piercings. Also think that everyone go to the barbershops and get their hair cut and may have the barber use a blade (if hair dressers do not what they are doing and using new blades for every customer, the whole world will have aids by now). So don't be terrified, you are absolutely fine :) Pharmacy assistant professor
