Tell me if you had any experieces of Thrush in the vagina,which is just irritating
may be due to non cotton material of the pants..any idears of medication if you are an health advisor please
Answer:I spend years going from one episode of thrush to the next. I wore cotton underwear; loose clothing,i.e.- no tight jeans or tights. i did everything.
A few years ago, I got a bad chest infection, and was prescribed an antibiotic. I collected the prescription from a pharmacy I was unfamiliar with. the pharmacist, ( a woman) suggested that I always take acidophilus capsules when taking an antibiotic, and for a couple of weeks afterwards. Acidophilus replaces the natural flora in your gut and bowel that taking an antibiotic kills off, so allowing thrush to flare up. Thrush usually comes from your bowel first, but because the lower bowel and vagina are so close together, you usually feel the worst symptoms in your vagina.
You can buy acidophilus capsules in most pharmacies now, and in health food stores. Choose the unsweetened ones, with live acidophilus. Stay away from sugary things and anything with yeast in it while treating your thrush, and try and eat some of those pro-biotic yogurts too.
Since I heard of this simple, cheap treatment, I have only had thrush one in six years, which is brilliant, considering it would flare up every three or four months!
I've had it many times. I never know why, it just happens. You can buy a pill from the chemist called Diflucan. That'll get rid of it. If you are in UK you can get it from the doc free or cheaper than chemist, depending on where you live, as it's about 拢12 from the chemist. Other than that it's messy creams and pessaries. Yuck!
If you have thrush my dear go to your doctors and seek medial advice thrush is not a dirty disease your doctor or local pharmacist will give you treatment but a examination is best as it might show why you have thrush and is it thrush go get checked Dave
If it's recurring then your Dr. may be able to put you on a longer course of medication rather than a single dose whenever you have a flare up.
