To be honest sometimes I take insulin in a toilet It is a little annoying but sometimes I prefer doing it sitting on a seat cover injecting in my abdomen.

I just draw up my shot holding it down in my lap and then use my legs or stomach as my site. If anyone sees you doing that.they're too nosy. Also, if someone complains about seeing you take your shot you are covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act which entitles you to be able to do what you need to for your disability.
Right now, there is no known cure for type 1. I take my shot and not worry about others at all. I try to not upset anyone but since it only takes a few seconds, hardly anyone notices. You must of told others about your affliction, so I don't think they will care if you take your shot near them. There is nothing to be ashamed of, you're trying to stay alive.
I take my shot at work, everyone knows I am diabetic and no one has a problem with it good luck.
