Taking humalog in public/at work

Once you get accustomed to using Humulg, ask you doctor about switching over to an insulin pump. It has made things much more convenient for me. Good luck!

It took me a while to learn that I was more worried about taking injections than the people around me. If I didn't fuss it would all be over in less than a minute.

Good luck to you.

Stay away from the washroom. You can and should do this at your desk. It's a much cleaner place than is is washroom. Just explain to your co-workers that you're diabetic and that is what helps to keep you alive and healthy. Do the same when you have to test your blood glucose as well.

Yes, you can even do this in a very public place. You simply test or inject in your arm instead of your leg or abdomen.

Diabetes is a fact of life for too many people, yourself included. It's time that we all acted that way.

Don't worry about it. Don't worry about what people think or say. You have a disease. You have to take shots of insulin to control it.

I've been diabetic for many years. I used to run to a bathroom or something but now I don't care. I just take my shot and forget about it. I'm not going to run and hide. Besides, I take the shot so quickly that it's over before most people even realize that I'm taking one.

I do not have to nor will I defend myself for having diabetes. If I get a strange look from someone or if they make some comment about it, I just say I'm a diabetic. End of story.

I am a case of type 1diabetes taking humalog everywhere but mostly in my arm when I am not at home .i take humalog at my dest at work in cars bus train and air flight and I dont care what other people think about my way of injection .my body does not produce insulin and I should take it from out of my body.
