Swollen lymph nodes, fatigue, painful, swollen eyes
About a week ago I noticed a small, hard bump on the lower left side of my neck, which I know is a lymph node. I have never had a swollen one that low on my neck before. Now, I have a bunch of them, a big painful one under my jaw, little hard ones all over my neck, in my groin, possibly in my breasts. I have headaches, and I wake up with achey, puffy eyes. I am extremely tired, and I have a general feeling of malaise. I am also getting pain under my ribs on the left side when I twist my body in certain ways, off and on. Please help! My whole body is achey and swollen! It has all come on suddenly, unless I just didnt notice the swollen glands until now...
Answer:How big are the lymph nodes? You mentioned that some of them are painful and you are drained and feeling ill in general...
I'd get spot-tested for mono first. Mono is very common especially among young people. That would be my first guess.
If you are having other symptoms such as night sweats, loss of appetite and/or involuntary loss of weight, I would go see a doctor. They can do a simple blood test called CBC and differential, in order to rule out anything more serious.
Go get yourself to a doctor and get tested so you can feel better faster! I personally had a BIG scare with a number swollen lymph nodes and feeling ill in general, but it turned out it was some weird viral infection that my body was just fighting off. I had to get a CT scan and everything, but in 3 weeks they just went away!
Good luck and go see a doctor. :)
