Swollen ankles and joint pain
i have had swollen ankles and bad ankle pain for the past year.all blood tests have been negative and my gp is baffled.the only thing he can think is that it is a side effect from sertraline the antidepressent i am taking.any ideas please?
Answer:the only idea I can give you is to go to another doctor...or as many as need be...
Sometimes, particularly when you've been seeing a doctor for years, it can get to the point where they "can't see the forest for the trees"
Sometimes going to another doctor, who doesn't know you and can be more objective, can help...
A new doctor might have fresher ideas, a better angle on what might be happening or might have already had a patient with this problem...
good luck!
It could be a side effect! Try changing your medication. It could be water retention, there is some tablets you can take for this (you can buy over the counter) I cant remember what they are called thou. My Mum used to suffer with swollen ankles and it was water! Hope this helps in sime way!
I would advise you to resort to Pranayama which is healing through breathing.

In addition you can watch Swami Ramdevji Maharaj's Yoga programs on TV . The schedule is available on http://divyayoga.com/
All depression will go away.
God bless you!
I would go to another doctor for a second opinion.
