I was just wondering if having swollen lymph nodes in the groin area is common for teenagers? It felt like I had swollen lymph nodes about a month or so ago in my right groin area and the bumps went away and so did the pain in less than a week. Now today I feel the same pain/bumps in my left groin. So is this common in teenagers?
Answer:No, it isn't common. You have some kind of medical problem. Get to your doctor.
no, you should see the doctor!
Only if you masterbate too much thats what i learned in health class
See a doctor ASAP.
When lymph nodes swell, it is because of an infection.
Find the cause and get it treated, it could be serious!
It's a common sign of mono. The trouble is mono doesn't always show up in a test but check with your doctor to be sure. Many, many teens get mono. It usually just runs it's course, which can take up to a year but it occasionally can lead to other problems.
You can get infections in the groin area just like you can get infections on basically any part of the body. If the swollen lymph nodes have only been there for a short period of time (for 1-2 weeks or less) and you aren't feeling sick, then I would just keep monitoring them. If you are feeling sick, or you have any unusual symptoms, then you might want to see your doc. Other possible problems could be--cancer, cat scratch disease, hematoma, or cellulits.
yes
see a doctor as soon as possible, this is a sign of mono...also seen in CFS and lupus
