Swollen Ankle

Good luck!

PS: What are you on the Prednisone for? Asthma? Arthritis?

Could be your OA, but is it in both ankles or just in one - and is your calf swollen too? Is it very painful? If not, try pushing a finger on it for about 10 seconds and let go... is there a pit where your finger was? This is usually an indication of fluid and you'll have to consider (especially if its on just the one side) that you might have a DVT (a clot). Have a feel up your calf... is it a little tender? If yes is the answer to any of this then I'd call go to emergency... and try not to move around too much (get someone to drive you). The main concern is a clot breaking off and going to your lung.

This is probably the only serious urgent differenetial diagnosis you should be concerned about. Otherwise, I'm sure you can wait to see the doctor tomorrow.
