Sweat gland problem

My daughter (34) has complained about this problem for a long time. She does not sweat alot, but she said her under arms smell like a skunk smell. No laughing, please, she's very clean. She's even embarressed to ask the doctor about this. Could it be a bacterial problem?

Answer:

It's Bromhydrosis.

Most people only shower once daily, so try telling her to shower twice. If there's not a sweat problem, i'm not sure what to say other than strongly perfumed deodorant.

But there are anti-perspraints if she sweats also. If she works out alot or is active, she may just have to freshen up and carry a small container of deodorant with her when she goes.

Does she drink any water? Sweating eliminates poisons from your body. She may be ingesting something that does not agree with her body chemistry
Hyperhidrosis can be caused by food allergies, or a mineral/vitamin deficiency. I had the ETS surgery done, it's very expensive.

I had hyperhidrosis (and a few other symptoms) for many years and went through all the usual treatments.

Anticholinergic drugs, applying topical solutions, botox, and ETS surgery. The surgery was most helpful but several

years later hyperhidrosis began to return.

Years later I was diagnosed with celiac disease, along with a few food allergies. I eliminated wheat, dairy, and sugar from my diet and stopped all prescriptions. I began taking supplements:

- Vitamin B complex

Contains 50mg of every B vitamin plus Folic Acid

- Mineral complex

Contains Magnesium, Calcium, Iron, Zinc, etc.

Some information about celiac disease

(This is not the cause of hyperhidrosis but caused my food allergies and mineral/vitamin malabsorption)
