Answer:

First of all there are things that you can do to stop the rapid beat.

1) try a deep hard cough

2) Bare down as if you were trying to push out a baby

3) Put your face in a bowl of cold water.

These simple tricks may be enough to stop the rapid heart rate.

Other wise the Doctors may suggest laser ablation. But first they would have to try to put you into the fast rate so they know where it is coming from. Then they use a laser to burn the pathway from the spot causing the problem.

generally supraventricular tachycardia is not dangerous.

however, if it is of concern, there are things you can do about it. FIRST OF ALL, CONSULT A DOCTOR.

A doctor can give you medications designed to help with SVT.

One thing you can do on your own, without the need for medications, is to bear down as if you are going to have a bowel movement. When you experience this fast heart rate, do that. It works to slow down the heart rate.

There is a low risk and usually curative surgical procedure called radiofrequency ablation. Basically, the surgeons will use high-frequency radio waves to destroy small parts of abnormal heart tissue that is causing your heart to race.

Ask your doctor about this if SVT is really bothering.
