Suicide/sleeping pills/ brain damage
My fiances 17 year old cousin tried committing suicide last night. She is 18, 5'0 and about 120 pds. They said she took 11 really strong perscription sleeping pills of her grandmothers. They transported her to a different hospital this morning to test her for brain damage. What other things could be permanetly wrong with her and what are the chances she will have brain damage?
Answer:The highest risk other than death is of organ failure but it would not be possible to help without knowing what she took, how long it took for her to be treated etc as these will be major factors in her recovery. The best source of information would be her family as they will be kept up to date and a simple how is she will let you know if they are up to talking but also will let them know that you are both thinking of them & I would imagine they are in need of support also. I hope she pulls through okay and once recovered physically, gets the help she needs so that suicide will not feel like her only option. Good luck!
it all depends on the person. different people react differently.
she could be suffering from major depression cuz she want to commit sucide ...and takeing 11 different strong sleeping pills she could have pretty bad brain damage
Liver and Kidney problems (failure) with any prescription overdose is a big risk.
As far as brain damage, I don't know.
