Not if you are diabetic UNLESS...
You are counting your carbohydrates and taking fast acting insulin with your food. If that is the case, you can counteract the sugar according to your insulin/grams of carb. scale.

Sugar is not a good thing. (Bit of a no-brainer that!) I really find green tea does me good, and I dampen the bitterness with a bit of lemon juice. Green tea has been shown to protect for your liver, something that diabetics have to be careful about.

If you are diabetic, you should really avoid the extra sugar as much as possible. You can use a sugar substitute, though there are many opinions on that. I drink green tea every day with no sweeteners and I love it.
