i have type 2 diabetes and also sleep apnoea
Answer:Everyone is different, but i am like you in the respect i have diabetes, but i always know when my blood sugars are too high anything over 10 and i get quite stroppy, tired, headachy, feel dizzy, sweaty.
If you are unable to recognise signs on hyperglycemia i suggest you blood test yourself every 2 hours or so to prevent going into a hyperglycemic coma..
i don't believe there are any warning signs except to your doctor
Sugar levels are a bit hard to know, unless you actually check for them.
Sleep Apnea may or may not be connected- but it is more likely to happen if you have a weight problem. Ask your doctor for suggestions with weight control: It won't hurt at least.
Good luck!
I have type 2 diabetes too and often don't know that my sugar levels are high. I wonder if the symptoms I see on the diabetes info sheets are for higher levels than what I have. I also wonder if sometimes I'm just too busy and distracted to see the symptoms or that I've lived with diabetes so long that I just don't recognize the signs.
Because the signs and symptoms of high blood sugar can be easily mistaken for other conditions, and the more serious complications of high blood sugar may not manifest themselves for a long time, even years. Thirst, fatigue, sleepiness are also symptomes of lots of other conditions.
