Strange feeling in chest

I have this weird feeling very rarely in my chest that feels almost as if somethin is rapidly falling in my chest. The feeling is painless and it is so sudden it causes me to lose my breath! What i am wondering is what does this sound like it could be? I have looked up heart palps on the net and i cant say for a fact that it feels like my heart skipping beats, however it isnt to far fetched. I am only 22 and have a average build. I am in pretty good shape. Has anyone ever felted a weird sensation like this before?

Any assessment would need to be more complete, but most likely your described sensation is a PVC ( premature ventricular contraction).An electrical conduction abnormal in the heart. Often felt as a racing or skiping of beats and will frequently make the overall rhytm slightly iregular. However most young people have slightly irregular rhythms normal due to sinus arrthmia, and most people wouldnt be able to tell accurately anyway.

A PVC is rarely dangeous in a young person ,even if fairlry frequent. However there are a host of heart conditions and other arrthmias that are ,and until an actual exam is made you wont know.

Seeing a doctor for some peace of mind can be appropriate, and absolutely necessary if the pain continues for more than a minute or two.
