Stomach problems
i seem to get really really bloated when i eat sugar...why is this?
Answer:Keep a food diary. You may find that its not actually sugar but somethign else like lactose, gluten or another allergen. Sugar can bloat you at times but its not likely.
More likely is an intolerance or allergy. You need to see a GI doc for a complete blood work. While you're there ask the GI to test you for Celiac Disease. A common autoimmune disease in which bloating is a major symptom. (take note, do you bloat after eating wheat, rye, barley or oats?) Blood testing includes being tested for levels of IGG, IGA and TTG antibodies in your blood while you are eating gluten regularly.
For mroe info, see the links I list below. CD is an extremely underdiagnosed simple disease, easily treatable by the Gluten Free diet. Do not try the diet before blood testing, it will make any test results inconclusive.

hey did you just call me sugar
Bloating is the common term for gas buildup in the stomach and intestines. To reduce bloating, it may help to avoid or reduce the amount of fatty foods and gas-producing items you eat. These include:
Broccoli
Baked beans
Brussels sprouts
Cabbage
Cauliflower
Carbonated drinks (which contain lots of sugar)
Chewing gum
Hard candy
Lettuce
Fruits such as apples, peaches and pears

Sounds like you need to be talking to your doctor.
As for the sugar consumption - sugar has been long established to not be healthy for any of us. While some of it can't be avoided as most pre-packaged products contain it in some form or another - it really isn't healthy for you.
Contact your doctor and have him/her examine you and run labs to be sure there isn't something going on that needs treatment. And cut back on the sugar consumption.
