I have been recently told i have type 2 diabetes. I went in for a sharp pain on the side of my hip,i was told it was my syatic nerve. My doctor cured that but now i get stinging pains on my legs someone told me it was related to diabetes is it true?

Answer:

It could or it could be related to the sciatica.

Here is a link that will explain a bit about the diabetic neuropathy:

it could be neuropathy. If you are newly diagnosed then it menas you have a chance at making better. I have a friend, diabetic for a long time, never bothered to take care of herself and now she has to deal with horrible pain. It started out as pins and needles sensation, then she said it felt like someone was holding a lighter beneath her feet and now she says it feels like someone rips chunks of meat of her legs. Get your diabetes under control and make sure you A1c stays at or below 6,
neureopathy. can be a tingling sensation in the legs because the nerves are affected by diabeties .

Consult your doctor though to confirm . It might be something else.

It certainly can be possible. Both Lyrica and Cymbalta are drugs used to treat this painful problem! I hope you find relief!
