Answer:Don't use soap for face wash.. and try cleansing daily
+ pay a visit to your doctor and ask what they think will be good for you...Also ask for "Zineryt solution", if that would be suitable for you...
As I've experienced this as well, ... and I used Zineryt which helped me..
can't wait to get out of my teenage years!
anyways Take Care and keep your skin clean
=)
Can u say how old you are and how long u have been on medication?
You could try:
DALACTIN T TOPICAL SOLUTION.
PANOXYL
if all those fail: ROCCUTANE.
Wash your face more often and steam it every few days. You might want to consider reducing amount of chocolate, fizzy juice and dairy products you eat which will also help reduce spots.
i don't find that any of these shop-bought 'spot clearing' washes work. i have been on medication for acne for years. i have tried tetracycline and doxycycline pills. at the mo i have been prescribed with Erymax 250mg Gastro-resistant hard capsules and Differin Gel. you could ask your doctor about using a gel as well. i have also used Nicam Gel before so you could ask about that. tell your doctor about the spots on your chest as there is probably a gel you could use for that, or different pills that may work. none of the stuff i have been prescribed has ever got rid of my spots completely, and i don't think anything will, but it has kept them under control. make sure you get lots of treatment for this as spots can scar badly - trust me i know.
At 12 there is an issue with some of the antibiotics which can be used. Erythromycin is low down on the choice and effectiveness list. Minocycline or Lymecycline are probably better. Technically you are JUST old enough to take them, which I suspect is why your GP hesitated and tried Erythromycin first.
You might do better with either of these or possibly topical antibiotic roll-ons.
To be\fair to your current drug the trial of therapy is 8-12 weeks, you probably should not change antibiotic ant quicker than that.
Please see these link for advice on teen spots & what to do about them.I think thse are due to hormonal changes at this age & the links will give you advice on what to do naturally that will help.
