Spider veins
Does anyone know how to get rid of and how to prevent spider and varisose veins? Do you know of any cream or prescription ointment? Any advice appreciated.
Answer:Try putting blocks of wood about 2" thick under the feet of your bed, at the foot end only. You want your feet to be a little bit higher than your heart when you lay in bed. This helps blood return to the heart rather than pooling in the extremities. It won't cure existing spider veins but it may help prevent more from forming.
Also elevate your legs (feet higher than your heart) for 5-10 minutes during the day if possible.
no ointment or cream is ever gonna work. the only solution for spider veins is thru surgery...
They are caused by standing too much. This is why it is common in professions such nursing.
The only way to remove them is through surgery (making a small incision in the skin and pulling out the dead veins). The only way to prevent them is by not standing as much. Creams, ointments, or medications will not help.
They can be removed but, it has to be done by a doctor.
There's no way to prevent them from forming and even if they're removed, others will usually form.
