Sorry, a little gross - rectal bleeding as result of long term antibiotics

Is it possible for rectal bleeding to be due to long term antibiotic use?

I would say it depends on the antibiotic. Some medicines will cause it. Also, you have to determine if its bright red or darker. Bright red is usally something like hemorroids (sp?). It's alsways smart to go to a doctor in these situations though. Also, if you go to webmd webiste and go to the symptom checker you can click on stomach and then it will give you the different symptoms followed by a listing of what could possible be wrong.
