I have bumps on the back of my throat and if feels a little swollen, either allergies or the flu. What will help besides Vitamin C?? (Trying to skip the doctor visit)

Answer:

For immediate pain / irritation relief, try drinking some hot tea. This will soothe your itchiness. If you want more home remedies, visit http://www.realhomeremedies.com... and click on the sore throat link to the left. Hope this helps.

you should try getting a cup of water heat it up and put some salt in it then gargle it and if that dosnt work you might have to go to the doctor cause it might be infected
Hot lemon/blackcurrent juice with paracetomol will ease the pain and swelling - make it yourself, with extra sugar/honey. Tastes better than the over priced supermarket versions. If no reduction or the swelling increases go to your GP, it only takes 5 mins for them to take a quick look! My only concern is this may not work if it is an allergy and visa versa. Oh Dont mix your medication on the off chance one will work, you could do more damage! Hope you feel better soon!
Sore throat is usually due to a viral infection. Gargling with warm salty water or mouthwash can reduce the pain and inconvenience. More details and home remedies available at http://ailments.in/sorethroat.html... if it is not working visit doctor
