Sex and diabetes after 40
My husband is in his early fourties and his desire seems to be lowering. Were 7 years apart and i am a vibrant women in my mid thirties. I'm trying to be patient but when I'm ready I'm ready. I used to push him away and think about seeking outside the relationship because there were other issues. I decided to be patient and work with him. I use to think it was me "maybe I got too fat" but I turn a plenty of heads when I step. How can he perk up his drive...is he ready for the blue pill?
Answer:Ah, someone else in the same boat as me.
I am 42 and my wife is 30. We have been married for almost 2 years and still have this issue from time to time.
My wife thinks the same thing as you do about her appearance. She has gained some weight, but to me, she is the most desireable woman that I've ever seen. I'm not always ready when she is, but we go through spells when it better than at other times.
My doctor told me that when I developed diabetes and it wasn't recognized for years, it probably caused blood vessel damage and blood vessels are what 90% of a penis is made up of. I had never had a problem in the past with ED, until I reached approximatly 34 years old. My girlfriend at the time could not handle the fact that I could not perform on command and she left me, which not only leaves a man physically impaired, but also emotionally scarred. My doctor told me the the largest sex organ in the body, is the brian and that 90% of sexual problems are psychological, but it's the other 10% that get the attention.
