Exfoliating scrubs work for me, and i have adult acne. I've also used the ol' rubbing alcohol trick but that's just for a quick-fix one zit; too drying for all the surface area you mentioned. Also, the minute I eat a donut i break out that very same day so I avoid excess sugar. What are you putting into your body?
try this! I buy small individually packaged baby carrots and I eat them every night before I go to sleep. I use neutragena oil-free wash and I'm literally break out free. Only thing is it only affects your face. I have acne on my back and chest and I use a loofa and a scrub to get rid of the extra skin and oil that may cause the acne. Don't use the loofa on your face because the skin there is sensitive. Good Luck!
If your not already, you need to go see a dermatologist. They will help you get on the right track. You want to do this as soon as possible before you get anymore acne scars. So start drinking more water and eat healthier.
I have the same thing. Its gay. I haven't found an absolute remedy for it but I find that getting a little sun helps to clear the acne on my chest and back and products with benzoyl peroxide help with the acne on my face. I've tried Proactive also and had no luck with that. =/
You could visit a dermatologist. If it is really bad, he may prescribe Retin A or a temporary topical antibiotic to lower the bacteria on your skin. Also, acne tends to be worse when you eat food with a lot of sugar or fat in it, because that gets transferred to the cells in your body, even your skin, and bacteria that cause acne thrive on it. Daily washing and acne treatments such as Proactive and Neutrogena work pretty well for some people too. If you have a particular pimple that is really red and inflammed, you can crush an aspirin tablet (it has to be aspirin) and put a drop of water on it and make it a paste and put it on the pimple and it will reduce the swelling and redness. Also, using toothpaste or rubbing alcohol will also take care of pimples to some degree, but they will dry out your skin, so they should be used sparingly. Remember, people are shallow, and it is much more important to be the person inside than the person that some people judge based on their skin. Acne is partially hereditary, which is nothing you can do anything about. The scars fade some over time. I know.
You can try Proactiv. You must use it every day so your face will become adjusted to the Proactiv. If you have sensitive skin, wait about 5 minutes before putting on the toner. You should see results in about 6 weeks, or you can go to Inhousepharmacy website and order E-Mycin (Erythromycin) or Isotretinoin (Accutane). If you decide to take these medicines, you cannot drink, take any kind of drugs, and interact with other medicines. You can also go to a dermatologist and ask for prescriptions for these medicines. I now what you are going through. I have been suffering with acne all my life.
Hi, I am 25 years old and a couple years ago I was breaking out like crazy. I got a couple new pimples every morning and I tried EVERYTHHING you could think of. I DO NOT recommend any dermabrasion for bad acne because it irritates more. The best thing I have found is 3 things. One, go to the dermatologist and get an antibiotic, preferrably an oral one, and then get 2.5% benzoyl peroxide by neutrogena, do not get the 5 or 10% it is tooooo strong for skin! and THREE get oil of olay 7x anti aging, it is filled with so many vitamins and minerals and the thing is that, if you use it after you put on the medicine then you get soft skin that is healing the blemishing while you sleep, I ONLY did this at night and SAW AWESOME RESULTS i only have a couple pimples once n a while now.
You should see a dermatologist. You can try some other face washes that have a Sayrlic acid or benzoyl peroxide base like one by Clean and Clear that works well. You don't really need to use a toner (at least they don't seem to do much for people), and then use a scrub once a week there is also one by Clean and Clear that's called the blackhead scrub that works pretty good. Make sure to use an oil free moisturizer after you wash, and that may help, but you should probably see a dermatologist to see if they can help you with some medication or something.
I suggest you to go for natural one; others definitely have side effects. A good face pack of neem leaves with a pinch of turmeric is also very good for acne prone skin. More home remedies available at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html...
