I have a friend that I haven't seen in 10 years. She is young.45. Just found out thru a mutual friend that she was just diagnosed with terminal cancer. The doc says she has about a year. We were best friends in high school but, grew apart over the years. Should I call her? If it were you, what would you say?
Answer:I would call her and tell her she has been in your thoughts. She will be glad to hear from you even though its been a long time.. Frendship nevers fails, God Bless you both
yes.I would just say "Hi want to go out for a cup of whatever. " Because dying is a lonely task.
Definitely call her! You will know what to say when you hear her voice. Life is too short-call her!! She may need all the support right now.
When a person is facing terminal cancer, they need all the friends they can get. The unfortunate thing is that everyone runs away. What to say? I miss you and want to go out for coffee. Then you talk about your memories of your wonderful years in high school. All the great things that both of you have done. If she tells you what is going on, just listen. You can't fix it, but you can listen and give her a hug. That may be the greatest gift.
i would call. I would not bring up the issue i would just talk to her and if you guys were best friend in highschool then she might just come out and tell you. You don't want it on your conscience that you did not call her and try to console during this tough time. So just try to giver her comfort while she is still here cause you don't know how much a person means until you lose them.
If you think you are up to it, by all means give her a call. She would probably be very happy to hear from you after all these years.
