Scar tissue from ear piercing

health advisory Hospital Diseases 2007-11-12 20:35:30

Okay, So i recently got my ears pierced in a tatoo, Piercing shop. I got size sixteens witch are small. And everything is fine they arent infected, And a while ago, I noticed these Nadguals on the back of my earlobe. I have no idea what they are, They look like blisters.

Does anyone know what they are?

Answer:

If there is liquid inside, it's probably a boil. Hot compresses should clear them up in a week or so. (use your sea salt solution, make it as warm as you can stand. Using a piece of sterile gauze, dip it in the solution and hold it gently agianst your ear)

If they are solid, then chances are it's scar tissue. Scar tissue can be caused by irritation to the piercing. Overcleaning or inapporpriate cleaning methods are the usual culprit. Soap is an outdated aftercare method and can irritate piercings, if you're using soap, stop immediately. You should be using a sea salt soak to clean 2-3 times per day. Don't let any hair products get near the piercing

scar tissue maybe?
Are you african american?

If so, very possible that it is keloids. With people of ethnic backgrounds, when scar tissue develops, it overdevelops (not always, but much more likely).
