Same question loosing weight with diabetes

Take glucophage, gym 4 times a week, low carb diet,

walk 2 times a week, lost 20 lbs in 6 m0s. and then no

more weight loss. why. I am 63.

Answer:

There could be many different reasons. Anytime your losing weight, it's going to come off faster when you control your diet and exercise and then start to slow down after awhile. You may just be slowing down after those first 20 lbs or you may have hit a plateau.

Also, keep in mind, that lean body muscle weighs a lot more then body fat. If your doing weight training at the gym, your going to be adding muscle to your body and that going to push your weight up or keep it from coming down as fast.

If your adding muscle, that's great! The more lean muscle you have, the more calories you will burn 24 hours a day. A pound of body fat may require less then one calorie per day whereas a pound of muscle will take in 3x that.

You could just be slowing down after your rapid weight loss. If you want to keep losing, consider increasing your walking and watch that calorie intake.


Just increase ur exercise routine , remember than when u add heat to the balloon, it will rise and when u keep the heat steady the balloon will not go higher unless u increase the fire (heat) and when u find ur happy zone (ideal weight) stay at the heat level ( AT THAT EXERCISE ROUTINE)
