Safe sex is the answer to the aids epidemic Do you agree or disagree

You must provide a detailed explaation to support your stance.

Answer:

Yes, safe sex should be used to prevent the spread of Aids, children, and other STIs/STDs. Detailed explanation of my stance? I don't want a kid, HIV, or any std for that matter.

Disagree.

Condoms break, and it's not uncommon for them to do so. Some types of condoms don't do anything to stop AIDS. Many other STDs can be spread despite condoms (Genital Herpies for instance).

I think the only way to stop the AIDS epidemic is to teach abstinence. If everyone waits until marriage, there won't be any fear of spreading it, will there?

Safe sex has always been the answer. Free condoms are obtained at clinics, public health dept, doctors' offices, and even more. The internet tells us how to have safe sex, and what dangers are out there. When people really start to understand that there may be only a condom between a long life and a terminal disease, it will be great for all. When people stop thinking that condoms take away from spontaneity, we will really be getting somewhere.

Aids and HIV come from sharing body fluids. Blood to blood, sexual 'togetherness'.

This question is totally flawed, but I guess you have to answer it anyway, right?

I would say something like:

Yes and no. Safe sex cannot be brought on without proper education and training. Even if condoms are provided to everyone, there is a large chance that 1. they will not want to use it, and 2. they don't know how to use it. Let's assume for a moment that EVERYONE uses condoms 100% of the time. This would effictively stop the spread of HIV in its tracks. The problem with this, as I said, was that most people don't use condoms 100% of the time. Because of this, we should encourage regular testing between couples and singles. HIV has a 6-7 year latent stage before any symptoms develop. Therefore, someone can pass on hiv for 6-7 years before they realize it. This is why it's important to get tested.

According to our Creator, and from what I read in the only book that claims divine inspiration, the only safe sex is in the intimacy of "marriage" so I'll abstain from saying more for now! If unlike the majority on earth today, you aren't the kind who likes her ears tickled and would welcome more info from this direction, just give a shout... I'd be glad to elaborate! Otherwise, you'll do what you want anyway and if He can't persuade you, who would I be to even attempt?
safe sex is no sex. there is no if's and's or buts. if you are not in a mono relationship with a person that has values and a sense of self worh not to sleep around you are only asking for trouble. condoms are not 100% so anytime you choose to have sex, you are the one choosing to set yourself up, so don't go blaming and wanting to sue the condom companies cause it clearly has been proven that condoms are not 100%.
DEFINITELY!! avoiding high risk behavior is the best thing
