Rough patches on lips
i seem to get rough lips lately and yes i know its the winter (or now the end of winter) and people have told me it could be eczema or cold sores but Im pretty sure its not either. Its weird. my lips can be smooth and nice one day and then the next day I wake up and I can feel my bottom lip being a little rough.. small tiny little bumps form. The reason I dont think its eczema is because they are never itchy. I use aquaphor daily (almost to the point of being addicted) and still sometimes I get these rough tiny little bumpy patches on my bottom lip or on my upper lip. Its never on the inside of my lip.. its just on the red part of the lips that are exposed on the outside. Any Idea what else this could be? And no its not herpes or coldsores because I have had cold sores my entire life and I can definitly tell the difference.. its not blisters. Let me konw if I'm missing any other info and I'll fill it in
Answer:its just dry skin use e 45 cream especially when u go to bed
we tend to lick our lips when they are dry and when it is cold and wintry the wind also dries them out.
I would continue to use a greasy lip balm (something medicated like carmex)several times a day and include before bed.
Keep your tongue off your lips
drink water and use lip blam. prob. got dehydrated and need more water.
See if this helps. Put vaseline on your lips and scrub with an old, clean soft-bristled toothbrush. Wipe and then apply a good lip balm.
I never ever had rough patches nor chapped lips either, until 2 months ago, when I moved to a very cold/dry city, and my lips were suffering really alot, my cosmetologist gave me as a gift a special lip balm from Vichy, and they have healed amazingly in very few days..
