Rheumatic Fever/Heart Disease
I got this when I was 10 years old and it permanently damaged my heart. Anyone else have this?
If you do, how do you deal with the chest pains associated with this? Aspirin/Ibuprofen don't work for me.
Answer:you should take injection of Penicillin of long duration every 3 week for life time for to prevent other complications of this rheumatic heart disease !It may effect your heart valves also ! So continue Low dose aspirin and go for your blood test every 6 month ! ASO titer ,TLC,Hb ,and also go for echocardio graph every 2 year at least for assessment of the heart function and valves also 1Do not worry any more ! If you have angina, your cardiologist should be able to help you out with some medicine for that.
