Pneumonia
hey everyone...im realli worried...mi boyfriend had/has pneumonia...and im realli worried...he got it around may 1st...and he might come back to school on the 8th...i know that seems realli long...but it was realli bad symptoms...liek 101.5 fever, chills, coughing, and realli bad chest pain!
if he does come to skool on the 8th...and i liek...hug him and hold hands...ect...would i get him sick-ish? (because i might have strep...idk...liek fever, realli relali bad sore throat...) and i dont want him to get sick...also, could i get sick from him? im confused...please help meeh! im worried about him...
Answer:You cannot catch pneumonia. you can however catch the cold that triggered the pneumonia... and you can give him a cold, just be sitting next to each other.
it should be alright to see him with your cold. You can double check with his dr.
No, by the time he's cleared to go back to school, he won't be contagious.

Has he gone to the dr? Have YOU gone to the dr? Both of you need to take care of yourselves and make sure you keep your hands clean by washing with soap and water or using handcleaner like Purell...use tissues, take whatever meds your dr. prescribes and GET REST! Hugging probably won't kill either of you, but don't breathe on each other. Love means...not giving your sweety infectious diseases. Oh, yeah and lots of chicken soup.
as long as you are washing your hands well, not swapping spit or other oral secretions, and practicing good hygeine, you should be okay. you may have a viral illness which is common. treat your symptoms.
You could give HIM strep, if you have that. He would not be giving you anything. Be sure you get to a doctor, so that you have meds in your system, a day or two before he gets back, to keep you both healthy! Good luck!
Pneumonia is a infection of the lungs and it should be treated with suitable antibiotics and other meassures also should be taken like oxygen inhalation etc!Many time they needs hospitalization ! So take him to the doctor and get treates Always YouRsmE
